All our fillers are Hyaluronic Acid (HA) based which is found naturally occurring within our bodies thus minimising the risk of an allergic reaction to virtually impossible. Hyaluronic Acid keeps our skin plump and is widely used on the face around areas such as the lips and crow’s feet. A slightly less dense filler is used in these areas unlike in the cheek and jaw areas which require a thicker, denser filler.

Factors affecting results?
There is no definitive rule to how long treatment results will last as we are all unique. Between 6-9 months is how long dermal fillers typically last however there is no definitive rule to this as everyone is different. Results can vary slightly depending on the below factors.
- Age of patient | your metabolic rate slows with age. A faster metabolic rate will mean the hyaluronic acid is absorbed by the body quicker.
- Your activity | If you are active and exercise frequently this could impact results due to increased blood flow
- Smoking | Smoking and can affect the skin which in turn can impact how long results last

Are there any risks?

As explained Hyaluronic acid is present in our body so the chance of allergic reaction is minimal. The product we use is non- animal derived and sterile.
The filler we use is non-permanent so in the unlikely event of a reaction it can easily be dissolved.
The procedure requires an entry point with a needle or a cannula so there may be redness, swelling or in rare circumstances bruising all which can be easily managed ensuring little discomfort or pain.
